DAY 8:

Well people... It's been 8 long (or short, depending on how you look at it) days of the Slovakia trip. And everything ends tomorrow.
The choir is gonna be arriving back home in the afternon tomorrow (at 3:55 p.m. according to what I've heard).
So to the people who are interested to go welcome them at the airport and need the ACTUAL, specific details of the choir's arrival go ask Celine and/or Isabel.
I really wish could go but sadly, I already have other plans for the day. And one more thing to those going: Please help me say hi and congrats to the entire choir. :)

Technically, this would be my last post for this period of time... Hope I wans't too much of a bad writer for you guys these past week. Anyway, it's been kinda fun to post daily to keep the blog alive.
And so my job is complete and I bid you all adieu until my next post (if there's gonna be a next that is).

DAY 7:

Wow! It's already been a week since we sent you guys off... Time flies!
Plus side: You guys will be coming back soon and we can all celebrate together as the entire choir! As for the category winners issue, whether it's true or not, my view is the same as Charmaine's. :)

Feels like I have not been doing much work over the past few of days. It's been torture, mind you: Trying to stare at one's maths TYS without letting the mind wonder to God knows where...

anyways... to the choir of 2006~~~

as you Belles and Beaus are aware.. i was planning for our next gathering - the choir bbq (yet again!) :)

i think 16th of June is an appropriate date... especially considering the fact that some are doing their duties to the nation >.< ... please please please do turn up okie? it's so rare that we get to meet up these days...

shall we do POT LUCK? i think it's better that way.. in terms of splitting costs and all...

DAY 2:

Whoo! Just came back from the NJ choir concert, "Cantabile XXI: Celebration!".
To sum up their concert in a sentence: A delightful and well executed show!
Naturally, there were some minor pitch problems but other than that, their musicality and showmanship was almost impeccable. Well done to them!
Now I know why they got Gold with honours in this year's SYF... :)
Ok ok, I should not be to liberal in my compliments and doing all this advertising for the NJ choir. But on a more reflective note, their concert tonight strangely made me think about our choir as a whole.
To compare us to other JC choirs (like HCI, AC and VJ ), as Mr Toh said before, is not really fair. This is because our choir is probably the smallest JC choir in Singapore with more than half of us having no prior choral training. And that in some sense, makes us "unique" and sets us apart (neither in a bad or good way) from the powerhouse choirs.
Yet, to watch others who are better and try to be more like them in terms of their skill and discipline is also a good thing (well, at least that's my stand). It is in this way that we are able to see our mistakes and improve ourselves. Not that I'm implying we should copy other choirs' styles entirely, (that would be foolish and un-original as each choir is different and the style of each choir is not a "one-size-fits-all" scenario), but rather we should try to learn and adapt some of their ways to fit our choir.
I know it sounds complicated and maybe even stupid but hey, I that's my take on things... So sue me if you've got a problem with that.

Tomorrow's the 1st of June. The 1st day of the Festa Choralis Bratislava 2007 (for those who do not know, that's the name of the competition our choir is participating in). And our choir will be performing at the opening ceremony in a few hours time...
So, I wish all of you there (if you're reading this) all the best and hope that you all will make a good first impression on the audience and judges! And for those who are curious, I found a link that gives more info on the event [click HERE]. Our choir is under group E2 if I'm not mistaken... Anyway, JIAYOUS people! ;)

DAY 1:

Only slightly more than 24 hours have past since I last saw the group leave Changi.
It wasn't that emotional; more fun and excited buzz than soppy goodbyes. As a matter of fact, those of us who weren't going may have been a bit too carried away in bidding the choir, Mrs Lok and Mr Toh farewell (so much so that the security gaurds at the gates were half staring and half laughing were staring at us... Haha! :P).

Definitely missing them! I'm guessing Isaac must be going through a lot worse right now... Just joking; nontheless, he did seem a bit down on the way back home.
But it's ok, we'll be seeing them in about 10 days time.
Got some pics here from last night but I can't seem to download it from my cam (stupid computer!)... What a pity! :(
Ah well, I'll just find some other way. In the meantime, I wonder what the choir's up to now...

It's coming 6 a.m. in Europe; they must be still asleep. Slightly tired from the jet-lag probably.
In a matter of hours they will have breakfast, a morning practice perhaps and then a tour of Bratislava in the afternoon...
I wish I was there too!

Hey people!
QG here.
Well, today's the day that everything begins... To be more precise, the CJ Choir leaves for Europe tonight at 10 to 11-ish (according to the info that I have)!
Sadly, some of us, including yours truly, will not be participating in this exciting trip. Sighz... So to those going (and this is almost similar to what Celine mentioned in the previous post), here's a little note:

ALL THE BEST FOR THE COMPETITION GUYS!
Do all of us proud and just SING!
YOU ALL CAN DO IT!
And one more VERY IMPORTANT thing-
HAVE FUN, savour and treasure each moment and just ENJOY yourselves!
And to the majority bringing your cams, Take good photos yah?
(Not only of food of course; no offense Celine...)
All of us back at home will be praying for you all and waiting for GOOD NEWS!

One last thing, I'll be updating this blog (as some might already know) on a daily basis to ensure that this blog is kept alive at least while the choir is away (like what Sam Foo did last year)... Hopefully, those who aren't going will also post something. And to those who are going and are lucky enough to be in a hotel with a computer and internet connection, TAG the tagboard (MUST HOR!!! Especially during the competition)! That way, we all back at home are kept updated.

Hi all!

Firstly, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to those J1s who are visiting.

Next, to my point.
Like Andrea said in her email which you all should have recieved, I, too, hope that all of you can make it for either of the Slovakia trips, either in June or December. Personally, since I didn't go for the trip last year, I know it is much easier for me to say that I can go than all of you who did.

But for you who can't because you'd rather study, why don't we all take a step back and chill and think through the contributing factors first yeah? OK, 1) if we work hard enough throughout the course of the year, we won't lose out, simply because the trip is during our holiday period, and we won't miss any lessons. 2) look at the previous batch of J2s (not only choir) , by June, they were still playing around and not focusing on A's yet. What makes you think we'd be any different? 3) The preparation for our trip would not take up more time from the pre-planned choir schedule because even if we were not going for the trip, we'd still have to put in the same effort for SYF. 4) like I said, if we work equally hard in the course of this year, mids would not be a big problem. 5) the trip would not take the full one month, it's only the the first third of it.

And to those whose parents do not allow, I'm sure if we really want to go, we'd be able to come up with the proper reasons to tell our parents. As in, if you really want it and there's no way you won't wanna go, then it shouldn't be a problem as long as you start persuading your parents soon.

I really really wanna go for the trip not only because i missed it with you all the last, but also because it's the last i'll be able to go for choir competition ever. I mean, for all of us too. If you look back at the last trip and how we prepared, I'm sure all of you wouldn't forget how our J2s were stressed up because of A's and all. I mean, they couldn't go for prom and all. Their holiday plans were jeopardized, and we'd really have to sell our soul then, not that we're not now. But would you want the same misunderstandings to happen?

Well, that's all I have to say, the rest is up to you.
These are just my opinions so no need to adhere.
But please take into consideration.

Yep, it's your official photographer for the choir trip speaking...
Just wanted to inform you all that there are some photos already up under the link I've created at the side (for those who have problems with reading or blind, it's under "PHOTOS" section!!!).
Sorry for taking so long to put up the pics... Needed time to get over jet lag and format the photos properly. But anyway, here are SOME of the pics in chronological order.
The pics you'll see are only those that I took of in our last day in Vienna... But don't fret, the rest of the pics will be up soon in stages!
Again I apologise for posting up the pics in such a manner as there are about over 300 pictures in total... So yeah, it will take forever to load all the photos in one shot! However, I do promise you that all the pics would be up by end of this year, if not latest by mid-Jan (hopefully I'll get it done by former deadline).
Also, to make my job slightly easier and your viewing pleasure more enjoyable, I've selected and posted up the pics which are nicer or more important than others out of my whole collection (that includes all group shots and other memorable moments)... Treat it almost like a summary of all the highlights on the entire trip!
Other than that, if you wish to view all of my photos, I'll be passing my CD to the teachers at the thanksgiving party... Apparently, they'll be compiling all of the photos taken on the trip into one CD (I think). So, you can see everything in there by then...
One more thing, if you want to view the pics, you will need the password and username to log into the photobucket account... The password and username is the same as the ones used to enter in this blog account. For confidential reasons, I shall not mention it on this post but for those who don't know what they are, ask around from those who know in person (like me!)...

Ah, it's nice to be back at my good ol' com. Back this morning at 5:56AM, our flight got delayed a bit back at Vienna airport.

A bit about the place (Vienna): there's crazy fog down there. As Daniel put it, PSI 200+ You seriously canNOT see anything beyond 100 meters. We didnt spend too much time there, just about one day and a bit, so can't really say much about the place. Well. On to the other cities!

PRAGUE: For the competition and a bit after that we stayed in Hotel Expo. URL: www.expoprag.cz not a bad place, food a bit (ok, a lot) salty. That was where we practiced for our competition & won the GOLD. Wohoo! When Isaac lifted up the trophy it was seriously anti-climatic as the top of the thing fell off. Couldn't stop laughing.

After Expo was Hotel Harmony. Daniel, Marcus, and me were fooling around trying to create parts in our room but couldn't. (hotel Harmony, trying to Harmonize, get it? No? Dang.) Anyway, that place has SERIOUSLY bad fengshui. Marcus' bed was facing the door. First thing we did was move it next to ours. Next day after room service came it was back at the original position so of course we moved it back.

What did we do in Prague? Well, besides the competition, we did some sightseeing. Saw Charles Bridge (named after King Charles the Fourth. Or First, not sure, the guide had a strong accent), Prague castle (now used as the official seat of the Czech government), St Vitus Cathedral (another cool Gothic cathedral, wish I knew how to put photos in blog posts)... hard to write down, too much to say.

KUTNA HORA: A small mining town north of Prague. (north, right? oops, east. Ok, EAST of Prague) Ex-mining town, rather, since most of the silver is exhausted anyway. We went to St Barbora's Cathedral and SANG there. That was definitely a memorable experience of the trip. FIRST TIME singing in a GOTHIC CATHEDRAL!!! (Now we know what Mr Toh means about the "dome shape") Anything else? Yeah, we ate at this restaurant with really good hot chocolate and where Celine got freaked out by a drawing on a door. We went to the bone church there too. 4 mounds made of human bones, with a crown above supposedly symbolizing the people waiting for salvation. 3 out of the 4 had crowns. Chandelier made out of bones. Schwarzenberg coat of arms made out of bones.

CESKY KRUMLOV: A nice picturesque town south of Prague (I KNOW its south, I don't have to check) where cars drive on the pedestrian walkways. There was a St Vitus church there as well. Apparently it still celebrates mass, but we weren't able to go because it was locked when we tried. So we went back up to the 3rd floor corridor and said the Rosary.

Speaking of the corridor, we stayed in Hotel Dvorak. I still don't know how to pronounce it, and I'm pretty sure the rest of you don't either. If you do, tell me. Dvorak really deserves its 4 star rating. The rooms are just... wow. Speechless. My bathroom had two sinks. There was a flat screen TV in the room. There was a sofa bed. There were great views out of the windows. There was an extra door that couldn't be opened (it MAY lead to either a gym or an interconnecting room). There was Celine living in the room next door, so in the morning Daniel went and knocked to give morning call.

VIENNA: Capital of Austria. We stayed in Wombats City Hostel which was situated along Vienna's equivalent of our Orchard Road. Not sure how to pronounce the name of the street though. We visited St Stephen's Cathedral, which is gonna hold special significance for me, since the church I go to is also St Stephen's. Hm, anything else? We visited an artist's house, Hundertwasser I think. Anyway, his name means "a hundred waters". Apparently he changed it after going to Russia.

The flight back was pretty much the same as the flight there, except it got pretty boring at the 9hr mark. Two different overhead luggage bins opened during take-off and landing, respectively. My guess is because someone's bag/jacket arm blocked the latch.

Do I have anything more that is relevant to add? I don't think so. So until next time, this has been Endru reporting on the 9th of December in the yeart of Our Lord two thousand and six.

Although it is quite wierd that I recieved the news from CELINE CHOE's handphone, area coded +65 (which is sgp). Plus, it's so queer that the best song choice was VERBUM SUPERNUM PRODIENS. But that said, I have to say I'm super super proud of my SOPRANOS who pulled through the psycological barrier that we keep going flat for that song. haha, and I was dreaming (again) of the whole choir this time ! You all were singing CHUA-AY. And it sounded hell good (:

Hokay, Day 2 is so far irritating. Firstly, I woke up to the same thing as yesterday, only today I caught Animal Planet. Then watched Hard Candy and Merry Christmas. My com has been infected with a WORM and I'm totally annoyed. So I have to shift coms. So now I'm using another Labtop which is heavier and bulkier. It's previous owner was a chinaman so everything is in FORKING CHINK! ERGH. and now I'm like transfering every one of my files on my com to this one. It is taking eons and I'm hating it. Hi! Just wanna say how proud I am of everyone, of our choir. It seems like just yesterday that we were playing Whacko in LT2 for choir orientation. Then auditions through Mr Toh. I can still remember how excited everyone was to hear that Mr Toh may be taking us to Prague. Then it was the preparation for the lunchtime concert followed by the June Holiday Choir Camp thingy. Remember how amatuerish our Chua-ay sounded then? Hahaha! After the Promos, everyone went through hours and hours and week after week of practice. Look how far we've come. Prague is just a few days away. We've cried together, laughed together and teased each other through the months. But more importantly, we've learnt how to make beautiful music together. That's something that not everyone can do and I'm proud of that. I believe with determination and hard work, the choir will be able to show the world that we're a force to be reckoned with. Anyway, guessed who I am yet? Here's a clue: More pretzels for everyone!!!!! And another obvious one: I'm super cute!

hey peps! greentea speaking here...yup a rare guest online! lol...okie..that sounds quite lame..hmm anyway, I just wanna encourage all of us to sing our best no matter the occasion. Yup, like what Mr Toh said that it is not solely about the Gold (though it will be a bonus not to take for granted), but also the personally experience of the intrinsic gleams of His glory...ooh..makes me feel so at home!

After yesterday, my perception of him has changed. He is a teacher. He is more than just a conductor. His words really have profound effect...can send me thinking about what he said even in my sleep lah...haha...

Anyway, I think the SLs and EXCO are doing their best to work things out altogether...[can give yourself a pat on your shoulders! :) ]

I agree with Mr Toh and I hope that this coming trip would be a soul-searching one to realise and discover more about ourselves, and also a meaningful one! 3 more days to VCH and 5 more days to Prague!!!

just cant sleep and have some thoughts i wanna note down...and share with you guys...

firstly...i really thank you guys for being so supportive...thank you all for being so forgiving of our mistakes...especially mine and never really made my life difficult...just wanna say that it is my privilege to be part of the exco team...and my pleasure to serve you guys...

i noe that we have put in alot of hard work into our songs...perfecting them...to create the desired sound we hope to achieve...and i believe we are slowly making our way there...DONT GIVE UP!:)

we have come a long way...and i think that the exco has achieved something quite tangible in the recent weeks...i think that the choir has become more bonded...:)
im sure u guys can notice that we started from sitting very far apart from each other...having our own cliques...to actually sitting down together to have meals and spend some time together...:) seriously im glad that i got to know a lot of people even better...and have discovered some new things and have renewed my old perspectives about some :)

i know that we will all continue to work towards our COMMON DREAM...and we can DO IT!:)
and we will......lets put in our 120% as we run twds this finishing line..and lets not GIVE UP!......

oh yes. i was also told that e prague guys there have crystal clear blue eyes. oh man! i cannot take it. :D

however there are also many dangers there, as we all know. however, when qiqi (aka qimin) let me read this particular website, i suddenly fear for us. serious.

here are some examples:

If you need to change money, don't do it at the airport or at your hotel - they give you the worst rate ever. Always compare the rates between the different change booths. Don't be tempted by the signs saying '0%' or 'No commission' - always ask how much you'll get for US$100 (for example). One very reliable change booth, which gives you a fair rate, is located near the Old Town's square: when you are there facing the astrological clock, you'll see to your right, across the square, to streets; the booth is located in the rightmost one, on it's left side, just around the corner.

Never take a Taxi. We negotiated a price to/from the airport and that worked out OK, but beware, another taxi we caught was on the meter and it was like £30 for 5min journey across town. As most people say, avoid taxis if you can!

Prices in some restaurants (but far from all), can get cranked up if you are a foreigner. Often, they have two menus, one in Czech with the real prices, for locals, and one in English/German, with stiffer prices for foreigners. This is how to lessen the risk: By Czech law, all restaurants are required to display a full menu with prices outside there entrance. This can often be in Czech only, but still try to skim through it and memorize a few prices of some meals and drinks you recognize. Once inside, look at the menu that you are given and try to determine if it has the same prices. If there seems to be a significant difference, either try to argue to get the real menu or just leave the place before ordering.

Prague is just as safe as any big city in the U.S., just take the same precautions as you would here. Pickpockets like to target tourists in the train station and on the subways and trams. They are usually gypsies and work in groups. One will distract you while others go through your pockets. The streets are quiet and safe at night, so don't worry about staggering home from the bars. Beware of pickpockets - they usually walk in pairs, one of them well dressed and the other with some kind of sports-wear and snickers. If they spot that you are carrying a bag or wallet of any kind, the well dressed one will approach you and ask some question; meanwhile, his partner will casually bump into you - and there go all your valuables.

There is some prostitutes who come really close to you at streets and steal your money, mobile phones and everything valued of money. When you notice this robbery they are already next to 'pimp' who normally is one H-U-G-E guy, you don't want to argue with. My friend got back his money and phone by yelling really loud to this pimp and making a scene right after this robbery. The pimp asked how much the girl has taken, and gave back all the money and the mobilephone :)

we have officially changed one of e dates, therefore it's no more 13,14,18 but 13,14,15 dec, as there is a colony of ppl travelling abroad on the 18th of dec. Hopefully there will be a higher influx of ppl able to make it on e 15th now..

Well well well. It actually worked.

OK,might as well report on what's been going on lately with our Choir. We've managed to secure a performance at VCH on the 26th of November, Mr Toh's giving a recital or something on the 25th of October (I saw the poster just now). Prague trip preperation's going on schedule, unless some of us have not extended our passport expiry dates and passport photos.

Basically we're all waiting for our exams to be here and gone, for the J1s, we're waiting for our H1 exams on Monday. Choir restarts on the 11th! Whee! Apparently its on not only on Wednesday, but on Thursday and Friday too.

Well. Next big thing coming up's the Open House, we're supposed to perform for the new sec 4's who might be coming in to CJC next year. After that is the VCH concert, then we go to Prague. Hopefully all of us.

Till choir restarts, this has been Endru reporting on the fourth of October, in the year of our Lord two thousand and six.

In any chorus, there are four voice parts: soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Sometimes these are divided into first and second within each part, prompting endless jokes about first and second basses. There are also various other parts such as baritone, countertenor, contralto, mezzo soprano, etc., but these are mostly used by people who are either soloists, or belong to some excessively hotshot classical a cappella group (this applies especially to countertenors), or are trying to make excuses for not really fitting into any of the regular voice parts, so we will ignore them for now. Each voice part sings in a different range, and each one has a very different personality. You may ask, "Why should singing different notes make people act differently?", and indeed this is a mysterious question and has not been adequately studied, especially since scientists who study musicians tend to be musicians themselves and have all the peculiar complexes that go with being tenors, french horn players, timpanists, or whatever. They have longer hair, fancier jewellery, and swishier skirts than anyone else, and they consider themselves insulted if they are not allowed to go at least to a high F in every movement of any given piece. When they reach the high notes, they hold them for at least half again as long as the composer and/or conductor requires, and then complain that their throats are killing them and that the composer and conductor are sadists. Sopranos have varied attitudes toward the other sections of the chorus, though they consider all of them inferior. Altos are to sopranos rather like second violins to first violins - nice to harmonise with, but not really necessary. All sopranos have a secret feeling that the altos could drop out and the piece would sound essentially the same, and they don't understand why anybody would sing in that range in the first place - it's so boring. Tenors, on the other hand, can be very nice to have around; besides their flirtation possibilities (it is a well-known fact that sopranos never flirt with basses), sopranos like to sing duets with tenors because all the tenors are doing is working very hard to sing in a low-to-medium soprano range, while the sopranos are up there in the stratosphere showing off. To sopranos, basses are the scum of the earth - they sing too damn loud, are useless to tune because they're down in that low, low range - and there has to be something wrong with anyone who sings in the F clef, anyway.

THE ALTOS are the salt of the earth - in their opinion, at least. Altos are unassuming people, who would wear jeans to concerts if they were allowed to. Altos are in a unique position in the chorus in that they are unable to complain about having to sing either very high or very low, and they know that all the other sections think their parts are pitifully easy. But the altos know otherwise. They know that while the sopranos are screeching way on a high A, they are being forced to sing elaborate passages full of sharps and flats and tricks of rhythm, and nobody is noticing because the sopranos are singing too loud (and the basses usually are too). Altos get a deep, secret pleasure out of conspiring together to tune the sopranos flat. Altos have an innate distrust of tenors, because the tenors sing in almost the same range and think they sound better. They like the basses, and enjoy singing duets with them - the basses just sound like a rumble anyway, and it's the only time the altos can really be heard. Altos' other complaint is that there are always too many of them and so they never get to sing really loud.

THE TENORS are spoiled. That's all there is to it. For one thing, there are never enough of them, and choir directors would rather sell their souls than let a halfway decent tenor quit, while they're always ready to unload a few altos at half price. And then, for some reason, the few tenors are always really good - it's one of those annoying facts of life. So it's no wonder that tenors always get swollen heads - after all, who else can make sopranos swoon? The one thing that can make tenors insecure is the accusation (usually by the basses) that anyone singing that high couldn't possibly be a real man. In their usual perverse fashion, the tenors never acknowledge this, but just complain louder about the composer being a sadist and making them sing so damn high. Tenors have a love-hate relationship with the conductor, too, because the conductor is always telling them to sing louder because there are so few of them. No conductor in recorded history has ever asked for less tenor in a forte passage. Tenors feel threatened in some way by all the other sections - the sopranos because they can hit those incredibly high notes; the altos because they have no trouble singing the notes the tenors kill themselves for; and the basses because, although they can't sing anything above an E, they sing it loud enough to drown the tenors out. Of course, the tenors would rather die than admit any of this. It is a little-known fact that tenors move their eyebrows more than anyone else while singing.

THE BASSES sing the lowest of anybody. This basically explains everything. They are stolid, dependable people, and have more facial hair than anybody else. The basses feel perpetually unappreciated, but they have a deep conviction that they are actually the most important part (a view endorsed by musicologists, but certainly not by sopranos or tenors), despite the fact that they have the most boring part of anybody and often sing the same note (or in endless fifths) for an entire page. They compensate for this by singing as loudly as they can get away with - most basses are tuba players at heart. Basses are the only section that can regularly complain about how low their part is, and they make horrible faces when trying to hit very low notes. Basses are charitable people, but their charity does not extend so far as tenors, whom they consider effete poseurs. Basses hate tuning the tenors more than almost anything else. Basses like altos - except when they have duets and the altos get the good part. As for the sopranos, they are simply in an alternate universe which the basses don't understand at all. They can't imagine why anybody would ever want to sing that high and sound that bad when they make mistakes. When a bass makes a mistake, the other three parts will cover him, and he can continue on his merry way, knowing that sometime, somehow, he will end.

so tired sia... but feeling quite happya bt the few practices we have last week...

i think we have advanced and improved...not perfect of course but at least not stagnant...

It's been a tiring but fruitful week! We finally made a slight improvement this week and were spared from unneccessary scoldings by Mr Toh. Keep it up guys. I think we're all tired from the studying and additional practises. And...the start of our NYAA only makes things worse. But...we've got to perservere. KEEP GOING EVERYONE

Let's take turns to blog for NYAA from now on. Does anyone know what we're supposed to blog about? The skills we learnt? Such as thinking higher/ lower when we go up/down a scale? Haha. We learn so many things every week, I doubt we can remember everything.

Anyway, congrats XINGLONG! For your freakishly outstanding results. Can you give me tuition please? haha.

well well.. no one blogged about today? that's odd..

anyway, today's performance was, in my opinion, the best we ever did for the 3 hymns.. :) and oh, the first song i was playing the piano.. alex, the pianist for the other 2 hymns, was supposed to give me the tempo of the song (as he could see cheryl) but i waited and waited until i started it myself.. gheesh.. he never gave me the tempo.. tsk tsk.. anyway, luckily, all turned out fine..

oh yes, thank you choir for the loud loud cheer ((: haha.. i was so touched by the sudden loud outburst of screams and claps.. ((: yupps.. love you all!

choir marathon this week has finally concluded.. God was it tiring! but then again, we're getting better by the day! so yupps.. :)) remember our goal! lets train hard and work towards our goal!

The day started off with Andrea and I meeting at Toa Payoh and then later meeting up with Jun Hoe and Celine at KFC.

i said back to him softly, "yah, jus like you man".

next, he carried on further by showing me the bookmark which had "melvin" on it (im melvin btw. yah, me, the sexually confused teenager), showed me and said, "look, melvin means hardworking or shy and gentle!!!!!".

oh my goodness. i cant stand him.

omg this will be like one of my rarest times i'll be posting on the blog lah.. haha. which is only when im in sch or sth.. it is now 2.35pm and im supposedly having pw. so im here in e comp lab, supposedly searching for info to improve my "already-innovative" ideas.. and im ending school at 5 today. sian. 3 breaks. so cant study in e library with choir ppl.. sobs. and later we'll be doing sth fun! and i volunteer to play the song on piano since i practiced it with the tai-tai jus now.. hee. :D

Post-choir activities were a blast today. I'm so surprised no one complained about the amount of noise we were making at MacD's. Nat looks like a tomato when she laughs. It's seriously too funny. June Ho laughs weirdly. And everyone in choir should be locked up in Woodbridge, away from sane people(non-cjchoir ppl). BTW, I hope you guys have fun at practice without me on Friday. Jun hoe and marcus are so scandalous! You guys should have seen them together in the library today. Jun hoe stuffed his hand into marcus' shirt pocket! oh you should have seen how sick it looked! haha. I actually blogged about it on my blog...so I'll just copy it over.

Had the greatest laugh of my life just now. It's a pity I can't post the picture online. JUN HOE WAS MOLESTING MARCUS. He was rubbing Marcus' chest. GROSS. Anyone who wants to take a look at the picture, ask me. I have it in my phone:)

STUDIED with andrea, qimin, isabel, marcus and jun hoe at the library today. Studying was so productive until Andrea took Jun hoe's wallet to sneak a peek at his IC. Then...a chain of events followed.

isabel snatched the wallet and took out all his important cards(and threatened to steal the cash)->jun hoe lost total self-control and went to fight with isabel -> marcus stole one of jun hoe's cards and put it into his breast pocket->after a series of fights, jun hoe(gayly known as june) realised one of his cards were missing -> put his hand into marcus' pocket and started grabbing for it. GROSS. The image was sickening.

whee !!! haha ... choir was so fun today ... the indian song was so so so fun ...!!! =P ... haha ... but i seriously think that there is too many sop 2s lar ... like ... it's going to be one of the biggest section ... so dots ... haha ... k ... well ... i now equate choir people = scandalous people ... haha ... but yar ... that's just generalisation ... yup .. bah ... so how do you guys like this song ?

i think it's nice ... cos when i first heard a choir song this song ... i was literally blown away ... nice right ? and must agree with me ... that this is no easy song ... right ? and for a choir to do this well ... you must be of high calibre ... so ... we shall all work towards this goal of being a choir of high calibre and standard ... and show everyone that cjchoir is not bad ... it's going to be the best CCA in CJ and going to win prestigious awards ... so much so that many people will want to join choir !!! yar ?

Feeling rather indignant here. Everyone's having fun teasing me and I'm not having fun getting teased:P So if you guys can make up scandals like that so can I!! Haha.What's with the pau/buns/ahgong thing? there's so many more scandals in the choir. I'll name some for you scandal-interested people to consider.

a) andrea and andrew - their names differ by A&W. Both are super tall. Don't you think they make a good pair?

b) isabel and jun hoe - both are equally egoistic. Just look at their blog addresses and you'll see what I mean.

c) cheryl and marcus - da zhu and xiao zhu. self-explanatory. the name shows it all.

With so many options to choose, my invented scandal can be left out!

Basically, I love scandals. I love talking about them...as long as I'm not involved.

HELLO!

feeling so high today...
finally get to wear new school u...haha
but thats not the main point why im blogging..

something funny happened today..hmm..actually is lots of funny stuff

funny 1) I ENDED SCHOOL AT LIKE 12PM!! SUPPOSED to be at 1 pm but i dont take econs!!

funny 2) 1pm- Andrea ends school
2pm- Qibin ends school
3pm- Qimin ends school
4pm- isabel ends school
5pm- Celine and Marcus ends school

so funny rite?? heh heh heh =)

funny 3 )i was having a very hilarious conversation with celine and frenz

i was telling them about Celine and Qibin being the Ah ma and Ah gong of choir...
celine = pau
Qibin = char siew
then her fren said: the char siew is inside the pau rite?? ( think dirty)
everybody: that's so sick etc.!!!!!!

(btw..that to me..was damn funny=) )

the next scandalous thing was about Celine and Buns...SO BASICALLY..
OUR DARLING CELINE is apparently in a love triangle...HOW ROMANTIC!

I agree with izzy. Everyone keeps blogging!!! I realise that by the time I come online and decide to blog, everyone's already done it! haha. I love cj choir! Seriously, I've never enjoyed going for a CCA so much! And it's all thanks to everyone for making the choir so enjoyable.

It's been a great week! Initially, I thought the idea of having long choir practices so many times a week was dreary. But I guess, time passed really quickly with everyone around cracking lame jokes and teasing each other. I hope all the J1s feel a sense of belonging which is perhaps the most important thing. Without this sense of belonging, we wouldn't be motivated to turn up for choir or sing well.

Let's work together...
Remember...our common goal!
